The Story of Storberget’s Mines

The mine is open during the summer season, when you can join a fascinating guided tour. It’s also possible to book a tour for larger groups. One of our daily tours is specially designed for younger visitors, where you get to help us search for iron ore inside the mine.

Psst! Don’t forget to knock three times before entering the mine chambers – so that the “gruvrå,” also known as the Mine Lady, knows you are on your way into the mountain. This legendary guardian watches over all who dwell within the mountain, but she does not like loud voices or whistling inside the mine.
